It's been a while...

My parents are here for a visit so I have been serioulsy slacking.  I have a bit to catch up on!  I have really missed spilling my thoughts and pictures to all of you.
Buddy finally got to go to the beach with us.  He was such a good boy, a little afraid of the waves but enjoyed chasing his "dummy" up and down the shore line.
We stopped at a local roadside food place and grabbed steak and shrimp with rice.  Local food is hit or miss for me.  Jase has liked it all but for me the fish and pork are wonderful.  The beef and chicken is usually cheap cuts of meat with too much fat.  The shrimp from this place was slathered with some kind of garlic butter gravy.  It was TOO much for me.  I'm so used to fresh seafood that needs very little on it to make it taste good.  It's the same with BBQ in Texas, sauce simply covers up the taste of poorly cooked meat.  Anyway, we enjoyed our dinner on the beach on the west side of our island.
After dinner we ran and played on the beach until dark.  It was glorious!  Harlon loves to tease Buddy with toys, food, and well just about anything.  It's a good thing Buddy is so gentle or Harlon would have lost a hand by now!  HA!  I have to soak up all the family time I can get right now.
I swear that Buddy can sense when change is going to happen.  Yes, I know how crazy that sounds.  He gets nervous and out of sorts just like me.  I try to suck it up and deal with it but you can't tell a dog to "suck it up."
He's becoming an "old man dog" as Jase and I lovingly refer to him as.  He was worn out by the time the sun fully set.  I wish I could take him our when Harlon and I go but it's just too much for me to handle.
Even if we don't go swimming at the beach none of us can resist the feeling of the waves hitting our feet!
