1 Year Old!

Happy 1 year birthday to our precious baby girl!
I can't believe she is 12 months old.  This has been the fastest year of my life.
Addie Mae is so full of personality.  She knows what she wants and gets pretty darn cranky when she can't communicate it to us.  She is crawling all over the place and loves to crawl up the stairs.  She has started cruising a little bit and just stood by herself.  She even clapped for herself.
She is a great sleeper.  I'm pretty sure she has dropped 1 nap.  Lately she has only been taking an afternoon nap and then sleeping 12 hours at night.  Naps are interrupted by teething lately too.  Addie Mae has 8 teeth and seems to be working on 2 more.  She quit wanting baby food a while back and will eat most anything we eat.  She is on a little bit of a food strike and I suspect if from teething.  I know it will pass and she manages to sleep fine so she must be getting enough.
I haven't taken her to the doctor yet for her well baby check up so I'm not sure of her measurments.
Addie Mae and Harlon play together well SOMETIMES!  Jase and I are very aware of what the rest of their childhood will be like.  I am reminded of memories growing up with a big brother myself.  I remember A LOT of fighting and bickering but overall I have wonderful memories.  So in the meantime Jase and I have to remain sane when trying to get the kids to get along.
Addie Mae likes to take toys from Harlon as much as he does her.  It works both ways for sure!
They love each other so much and are so cute and funny when the play happily.  I can see that as time goes on they will be good friends.
We celebrated Addie Mae's birthday while we were at my parents house.  It was early but we wanted to take advantage of being with family for our girls birthday.
It was such a fun party with family and friends.  My mom made a wonderful meal, she went WAY above and beyond.  I made the cake and cupcakes.  Addie Mae was very dainty about the whole cake experience.  I had to help her in the end and then she managed to get it all over her head.

We love you so much baby girl and love to dream about the wonderful young lady you will grow into.  Your kisses and snuggles melt our hearts and your "talking" has us laughing constantly.

Jase and I are blessed with a beautiful, healthy daughter and son.  God is good.
