Dinosaurs!

We started out Saturday intending on visiting a friend of Jase who had his VW bus in a car show in Kailua.  Yeah, we missed it...but on our way back to town we happened upon this sweet little family of ducks crossing the road.  :)
While Harlon napped in the truck we decided to surprise him and take him to a dinosaur exhibit at a local museum.  He LOVES to read about and talk about dinosaurs.  When we got to the exhibit, he was just waking up and was a bit scared of the life size models.
We got him out of the stroller and digging for fossils and before long he was all about the dinosaurs.
Addie Mae wanted a piece of the action too!  :)
We could hardly get him out of there, he was the loudest one in the museum. he was yelling, OH DADDY, WHAT'S THAT DINOSAUR DOING?  IT'S ROOOAAARRRING!"  He had a blast.
Still a little unsure at the end.  This was as close as we could get him to take a picture with T-Rex.
There was a science center at the museum as well.  They had a volcano and hot lava demonstration among other things.  Harlon ran around that place like a maniac.  This tank of water showed how landslides, earthquakes, and wind make waves.  He was all about pushing the buttons!
Posing on the random goose outside the science center.
This beautiful historic building has been the Bishop museum for a long time but it was where the Kamehameha Schools were first started.  The building was gorgeous inside and out.  There is great Hawaiian history inside this building.
