Welcome Addie Mae!

Addison Mae joined our family on Janurary 19th at 2:18pm. Our baby girl blessed us 2 weeks early! Addie Mae was 7lbs 4oz and 20 1/2 inches long. Except for a little jaundice (which we are still working out) she is a beautiful and healthy baby girl. My delivery went well and quick as it did with Harlon. I had to be induced after my water broke and labor would not progress on it's own. I am trying to rest as much as possible (which isn't a lot with 2 kids) and heal. We got home on Friday and were so happy to leave the hospital. Harlon is handling things pretty darn well for a busy 2 year old boy. He has his moments but he is learning to be a loving, gentle big brother. I am so thankful to have Jase home most of the time until my mom gets here to help. I couldn't handle Harlon alone right now. We have some wonderful friends on the island that have been kinder than I can even begin to say. We are so blessed!
Addie Mae is a good eater so far. The jaundice is making her very sleepy so we are having to supplement with formula for the time being. With the help of a lactation consultant and friends the breast feeding is going well.
It is so hard to keep everyone posted with our news and pictures of our girl with 2 kids in the house. I was so on the ball with Harlon but now I have no time for anything! Ha! I will make it happen eventually. Right now I have to get upstairs for the night and try to get some sleep but I do have pictures of Harlon and Addie Mae together for another day. We are all well and are doing our best to keep everyone in the loop as to our happenings.

Congrats! Rudy had jaundice (actually had coombs disease) and he would not wake either. We would take a cold wash cloth and strip him :o/ seems mean but needed to wake him somehow. Also, I pumped a little and we fed Rudy an extra syringe of breastmilk a few times a day to get my milk to come in AND to get the jaundice out. Hope this helps.

Welcome indeed! It is so good to see her cute little face:)

We had trouble keeping Katie awake for eating too. Her doctor told us to follow the three 'Ts': Touch, Tickle, Torture (aka...use a cold washcloth on bare skin). It was definitely a struggle to keep her awake at times.
