Harlon has taken a sudden interest in his dragon slippers. He has had them since he was about 10 months old. When we first got the he did NOT like them on his feet. I would put them on ready for some laughs as he crawled around and the bells (which are in the toes of the slippers) went jingle, jingle, jingle. Instead H would whine and kick until the slippers came off.
It's a good thing I held on to these glorious green gems. Now he asks me to put them on by saying with much excitement "on" which sounds more like "own" (too cute). I ask him to sit down and he promptly does, I slip them on and off he goes. Jingle, jingle, jingle with a little march in his stride. The part that leaves me in hysterics is that they are now too small so I have to cram his feet in them and by the 2nd or 3rd lap around the room they are almost off his feet. Eventually 1 slipper falls off and the other is still on and H is STILL marching around the room, jingle, jingle, jingle.
And, if this isn't good enough my washing maching is broken so my child has shorts and no shirt this morning. I have been putting off taking my sweet neighbor up on her offer to do laundry at her house thinking I could get by until the repairman comes. This morning I opened up Harlon's dresser and there were no shirts! Time to stroll next door and wash. :)
