Fall Splendor

Each morning on my run as my feet shuffle through the leaves that coat the ground I tell myself I really need to take some pics before all the leaves fall off the trees.  After all, this may be my only stay here in the Northeast, at least I hope that's the case.

I finally got out this afternoon while Harlon was napping and I hardly had to leave my front yard.  Buddy and I walked out of the driveway to find this gorgeous tree in full fall slendor!  It's spectacular when the sun hits the leaves just right and I'm glad I got to see the coveted New England Autumn.

The leaves are starting to fall off but there is still plenty of color to see.  My parents get here this week so I really hope the leaves hang on a few more days!

Here's Buddy exploring.  Too bad he wasn't facing me, that would have been a great pic of our big red dog in the leaves!

So many colors completely covering our front walk.  I love the sound of my feet rustling through the leaves.  It's getting really cold and while I have enjoyed this season I am so ready to be tropical for a few years!
