Fall! I've missed you.

Texas doesn't have fall I've decided. I never really thought about it until I got here and felt fall coming on. I love Texas and will be proud to call it home someday but fall here in Connecticut is spectacular. And...it's only just begun. The leaves are just starting to change and if you look close you can see some red emerging from the trees. I can't wait until it's in full swing.
After church (day 2 in the nursery was a success, go Harlon) we came home for breakfast. Jase made some beyond delicious blueberry-lemon pancakes. After Harlon's morning nap we headed to a local orchard to play around and pick some fruit. I was in heaven! I came home with way too much but I couldn't resist. It was all so beautiful and perfect for picking. We picked Cortland apples, pears and peaches. I have no idea what kind of pears or peaches and I forgot to ask. I was caught up in all the fall splendor! Harlon loved exploring all kinds of new things. He loved the fruit trees and especially the pumpkin patch and big tractor that kept driving by. What a perfect day with my sweet little family! My time here in Connecticut was made worth it by this fruit picking day.

Love the pictures of pickin' fruit! What a fun day! And your stories about the diapers crack me up...sorry it didn't work out for you. If you find something that does work, let me know. I've always wanted to help the environment, but wasn't willing to spend the money on other diapers. Good luck!

I simply LOVE the pumpkin patch pictures. Too cute!! :)

I can appreciate how you're feeling about the arrival of fall. I left the house in brown pants and an spice-orange short sleeve sweater feeling like I was sticking out like a sore thumb in the Valley of the Sun. I'm going to miss the smell of autumn and the changing of the leaves. I love Arizona, but this is going to require an attitude adjustment!! :)
