Addie Mae wore her red sparkly shoes for Independence Day. :)
We spent the afternoon on base. They had rides and bounce houses for kids, live music, and lots of food booths. It was right on the water. There wasn't much of a breeze and the sun was pretty hot. Jase took Harlon to ride the rides while I found shade for the baby.
We pulled up a chair at the bar and grill on the water after the fun was over and had some lunch.
After we all cooled off and got something to eat it was a much happier place! :)
The beautiful view from our parking spot!
We got home and I attempted to get a photo of the kids, HA! Harlon spent the rest of the afternoon in his pool while Jase and I made homemade chili verde. YUM!
The kids were in bed early from a busy day and no naps. After they were in bed Jase and I enjoyed our dinner then walked to the end of the block and watched the fireworks over the harbor. It was such a fun day and weekend with my family. I am really not looking forward to the upcoming year and a half, lots of time out to sea and another deployment in the future. Pray for me!
