3 Weeks

Addie Mae is 3 weeks old today!  She is starting to fill out and become much more alert.  She still has skinny little legs and arms but her face and tummy are really much more full.  I love to see her change.  Thanks to my mom being here I can watch and enjoy her quick changes that much more.
Harlon is doing great with the occasional 2 year old, strong willed, stubborn moments  I have to admit he comes by it naturally.  Both Jase and I have stubborn, strong willed qualities.  Ha!  He has been way to busy for me to catch him long enough to take a picture so it's all about Addie Mae this time.  My mom is taking such good care of him.  I know they are enjoying eachother so much but I feel bad for my mom to have to put up with all of Harlon's tests!  He is such a cutie and WAY to much fun for one person to endure.  We love him to pieces and I know his sister will too.  I can't wait to see the brother/sister relationship develop.  I look up to my big brother so much and I want that same thing for Addie Mae.
Jase hasn't been around very much.  Work is keeping him more than busy these days.  It is such a change from when we had Harlon.  Being on sea duty is much more involved than shore duty.  We will have to make sure there is lots of Daddy/daughter time on the weekends.  Mom pointed out that her eyes are much lighter than Harlon's were as a newborn.  Maybe she will have blue eyes.  Time will tell.

So far Addie Mae likes to holler a lot.  She seems to fight sleep like her big brother unless her tummy is nice and full.  Even then she sometimes has a hard time falling asleep.  She is pretty mellow and calm for a newborn.  The last couple days she has let out some precious little coos so I can't complain one bit.
She is sleeping pretty well at night except for the snotty nose that is waking her up right now.  Harlon is doing okay, he is rising VERY early.  I think he was sleep walking the other night and ended up in bed with me for a while.  Hopefully just a fluke.  He is usually such a great sleeper at night.  Naps are a challenge right now but I did have one moment yesterday when both kids were sleeping at the same time!  It was bliss!  My mom deep cleaned our bedroom while both kids were sleeping.  She seriously is superwoman.  How do I wrangle up that kind of energy?  Ha!  My dad gets here soon and we can hardly wait.  Harlon asks about Bopa every morning.  Thank the Lord for family!
