Oh my! What a difference a year makes. Last year we were in Connecticut at an orchard, picking apples, pears and pumpkins. We almost had to bundle up but the sun was out, making it quite pleasant. All of you know that I didn't much care for the Northeast. I have to say that I would take that over this pumpkin patch ANYDAY! As I said in my last post October is the hottest month here. It was around 86 degrees with no breeze in the middle of a red dirt corn field. If you have never been pregnant before I will say that you tend to be an oven anyway. So treking a distance through a corn field with your toddler then standing in the sun to pick a pumpkin is not my favorite thing. Harlon enjoyed the pumpkins but was so hot as you can see from his little red face that neither of us lasted very long. He was DONE by the time we got back to the truck.
He as big into trying to lift the pumpkins (big or small).
Harlon's pumpkin will go in the fridge until next weekend. If we carve it now it will for sure rot before Halloween.
As usual Harlon had to take a little taste of something new!
"These are a little to heavy, I think I'll just take a seat and say cheese."
Our almost 2 year old soon to be big brother.
And our baby at the pumpkin patch last year. I seriously can't believe the how much he has grown! No wonder toddlers are a tempermental! Look at how much he has grown and developed in just a year. That's a lot of change.
