Since Grandpa and Nanny actually have a business to run I thought I would take Harlon to the park and lunch this afternoon. There is a beautiful new park in town complete with a splash pad. Next time I will bring the swim gear so Harlon can get wet and climb.
Crawling through the tunnel.
Harlon is so inquisitive that a lot of times when we go to the playground he forgets to play and just watches the other kids. Really it's the big kids that he's interested in.
He did manage a little play time with some coaxing from me.
He's finally getting brave enough to go down the slides on his bottom instead of his tummy.
After the park I took Harlon to a local burger place for lunch. I loved this place as a kid and I love that it is still there! It has toy trains running through the whole restaurant. Harlon loved it and shouted "choo choo" the entire time.
Watching the trains go by.
More trains. They also have all kinds of wood carvings on display. It's kind of an old west theme as the restaurant is called The Chuckwagon. So fun!
The burgers are so tasty! Taking Harlon to see the trains wasn't my only motive. I had to get my burger fix! Ha! I took a picture of the burger for Jase in case he reads the blog when in port. We wish he was there with us for this yummy burger!
