18 Months

Harlon turned 18 months old this week.  What is our sweet Harlon up to these days?  Well, he had his first really nasty cold last week and it lasted ALL week long.  At one point I thought I was going to lose my mind and then boom, one day he started to get better.  God knows what he's doing.  He is constantly showing me that I need not lose my patience because he will only give me what I can handle.  The poor little guy had a rough week and still has a left over cough this week.

Harlon is all about doing things himself and will let you know if you are doing something he doesn't want you to do.  While I am not a fan of the toddler frustration fits he is so full of personality I can't help but enjoy him.  He is such a pal and we have lots of adventures together to keep us busy while Daddy is gone.

Today we went to the water park near our house.  They have a great Keiki area and Harlon just loves splashing, sliding, and swimming.  We bought a year long pass so we can enjoy it as much as we want!
As you saw from the video Harlon's newest victory is learning how to jump.  He is such a chatterbox.  I would list all the words he says but they would just keep coming and coming.  He is trying to put together sentences but the only one so far is "I don't know."  He loves, trucks, cars, big machinery, animals, the beach, the pool, reading books, listening to music.  He just cut his 2 bottom K-9 teeth and is working on the top 2.  These seem to make him the most frustrated, although he has not had an easy time with teething in general.

He is so curious about everything and continues to be into EVERYTHING!
He is such a snuggler especially when he just wakes up and when he's sleepy.  We can't get enough snuggles from this little guy!  He's a great eater and likes some foods that seem pretty adventurous for his little palette.
He says all of the grandparents names repeatedly throughout the day.  I think he misses y'all, must be time for another visit!
Harlon loves his Mama and Daddy.  He sure misses his Daddy when he's gone.  We make the best of it by listening to Daddy read recorded stories and always kissing his picture goodnight.
I can hardly believe that in less than a year my sweet Harlon is going to be a big brother!
